I love music. I always have and always will. It's been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember. Even though my parents didn't declare to us kids facts like, "This is a Fleetwood Mac song, kids, off the Rumors album" as we listened through their 5 foot Alpine speakers fed by a SWEET turn table. You know, the one with the light that informed you of what RPM you were spinning at? Anyway, we grew to appreciate what they were listening to, even if at the time we didn't know who we were hearing. As I grew up, I was encouraged to join band. I wanted to play drums, but at the time, my step dad steered me toward trumpet. I ended up loving it. I joined the marching band and was part of the concert band all through middle school and into my first year of high school. Then, I thought, "what in the world does music have to do with real life?" And I quit. Yup..only to discover in college that music was something that had been deposited deep within my soul and had to come out. I connected with several songwriters and musicians and began my journey. It's long from over, but this is where I am currently. I'm loving what I'm writing these days, and frankly can't wait to capture these tunes in the studio so I can share them with you. Hope to see you soon.
